Always a work in progress

I feel like I'm always a work in progress. Theres nothing wrong with that, but I just thought that by the time I turned 40 (which will be happening in August) I'd know what my life had in store for me. I thought I'd be married with kids, but now I know kids were never in my future. I thought I'd be stay at home mom with massive amounts of wealth because I, of course, married rich; but here I am working two almost full time jobs and living comfortably (because I didn't have kids :)). Sometimes things don't always go as planned, and the plans you make as a high schooler will change the moment you step onto a college campus or into the workforce. Sometimes life isn't about the things you do, but about the person you become. I may not have a bunch of kids, but I know that I have impacted many kids throughout my time as a youth minister and as an aunt. I'm also always working on things I could be better at. If you didn't know, I was awarded Graphic Artist of the Year at a conference a couple weeks ago, I don't feel like I deserve it. I see other peoples amazing work and know that I'm not capable of that. I've taken on this sports photography as a fun side project and I think I'm taking great photos, then I see a professionals photos that they took at the same game and I feel inadequate. So what did I do today? I spent time trying to figure out how to make my photos better. I've spent time working on my designs and learning new skills that can take my career to the next level. I may be turning 40 this year, but I'm not done learning and growing as a person.
